I have had the hints coming through thick and fast that there was quite the return coming in August... And trust me, there is! Here's a thanks for the patience announcement ✨ We are moving away from a "faceless" brand for a large majority of socials and I will be bringing back a whooooole lot of me. From stories, selfie series, TikTok adventures. Good business etiquette and the fact that I have a great support network, the words "we", "our", "us" are used. WEDDINGS 💍 Let's chat about them... If you've been around for a while you've probably noticed that I don't advertise as a wedding photographer, however, I do a few of them a year. Why don't I advertise as a wedding photographer? To put it simply, they are not my strength. There are many many MANY far more equipped photographers than I to cover weddings. Let's talk about Mini Sessions... What are they? 📸 Mini Sessions for us are a scheduled 30 minutes to snap away you and your small humans. You may notice that when these sessions are listed or advertised, we advise that it's 20 minutes of shooting time. This leaves 10 minutes to get to know you as a family, to run races, to be a bit silly and to just know that I'm not scary (even with a camera in my hand!). Why are they so popular? 📸 Minis are popular because we can often find thirty minutes a day to get updated photos. It also is a good amount of time for kids, as they often tire quickly from the excitement of it all (this starts from when you give them the white shirt and say do not get it dirty!). It's also great for husbands, as typically they are one and done for photos, so we find that 20 minutes also works well! If only it was like beers.... "Ah, go on, one more". How can you use your minis? 📸 We are all about value, so here's the different types of images you may receive with Minis: - Updated Family Photos - Solo Portraits - Couple Photos We offer both Mother's Day Minis & Father's Day Minis, so photos with mum + kids or dad + kids is a given depending on which booking you've secured. What about Social Media + Kids? 📸 Great question! This is something we take very seriously. Every booking with MBM includes a quick set of questions, one including your permissions to use images for social media, website, advertising, etc. If you say no, that's that! I was so nervous, although my client told me I seemed so confident! This photoshoot was with Yas, founder and lead educator of @desirebeautyacademy ✨ Yas became a lot more than just my first paying client. She became a business advisor, a best friend, a mentor, someone who kept me accountable, pushed me when I needed it and always made sure I knew my worth as a business owner. So what's changed since August 2023? • Gear upgrades both for Camera and PC. • A successful business was built: processes, policies, systems implemented. • Portfolio expanded to include weddings, newborns, and all in between. • Style: this is continually developing, shifting, aligning. • Location - I'm now based in Brisbane! • Grew again to MBM Collective and started doing logo work, social media management, branding assistance and all sorts in between.
